Crap Luck Early leads to Late Rally...

I really ran crappy early on tonight. I only played 4 tables of UB 100NL to work on my game a little and played very well. I don't think I made many mistakes at all other than timing out once in a big pot. Early in the session I just had some really shitty luck. Luckily, I turned it around and was able to have quite a nice session.

Cant seem to win many races, sets getting busted, overpairs getting busted...I need to stop digging myself in a hole early and trying to get out for the rest of the session. Fuck work....

I wanted to play a bunch of hands tonight but had to work after our golf match today. We won the golf match though so that was pretty cool. I shot a really shitty 42 and should have been much better. After the match, I had to go to work which is very lame and retarted. I make a lot more sitting at home playing poker than working for a few hours at $6.50/hour. I was only able to get in about an hour of play. I played on UB in hopes of getting 1k UB Points for the weekly bonus upgrade but didn't quite make it and only got 28$ bonus instead of 56$. Overall I had a very good session and ran quite hot. I wish I could have played more hands and maybe I could have won as much as Malfaire, who had a ridiculous night. Congrats. Also, I am leaving for the beach tomorrow with my gf so no poker this weekend which kind of sucks. I love playing on the weekends with all of the donks. Oh well, I guess I can make it up before the end of the month!

NEW APRIL CHALLENGE...

So Malfaire decided to call me out in his blog and created a little challenge. We decided to have a little competition to improve both of our games over April. Here are the rules...

-100NL, 6max only
-Obviously must include all results, no leaving out a bad day ;-)
-12k hands minimum (Should be fairly easy with 21 days left in April)
-Highest profit gets 2.5% of losers profit
-Highest BB/100 gets 2.5% of losers profit
-If one player loses money on the month, he owes 25$ to winner
-Yea we both update blogs daily, or every other day so no biggie there.
-Competition starts tonight(4/10) and previous results do not matter

So I got my new monitor today (pictures below) and decided to 6 table on PokerStars tonight. Little did I know that 2 more tables meant twice as many suckouts! I seemed to lose every pot for my first 1600 hands. Luckily I made a nice comeback in the last 400 or so. Looks like I have a decent head start on Malfaire after checking his blog tonight. Although we seem to be at it, we're just online friends looking to push ourselves lol.

Sweet Turn...

As you can see, I won 5 pots over 100BB, the biggest being 360BBs. All in all, I am pleased for the night, but very bummed out that I could not take advantage of these donks moreso than I did. Obviously the KK vs AA hand where I lost a 460(!!!!)BB pot sucked pretty hard. Still a good night though, and I cant complain. On a good note, my monitor should be here tomorrow. I looked at the tracking thing on UPS and it's in Greensboro, the next town over, so Im looking forward to that....

Weekend Summary:

I got home Friday from the beach. Played a lot of 100 and 200NL. Saturday, I went to the golf course and hit on the range. Watched the finish of the Masters at the course and was pissed off after Tiger finished bogey bogey. Went to the movies with my friends to see Blades of Glory. Pretty stupid movie but had some funny parts. Came home and played some 100NL on UB and played quite well. Today, Easter I really played stupid. I think it's because I'm kinda tired after going to bed at 5am last night. Probably shouldn't have played much today. Oh well....On the bright side, I ordered a 20" Dell flat screen today. First Day Back

Ok so after I got home from the beach today I was really fired up to play some poker. I want to play on UB to earn as much rakeback as possible but I also want to reach 28,000 FPPs on PS for that 20" monitor. I'm getting very close with 22,173 points. Hopefully I'll have the 28k by the end of next weekend. I played 1k hands of 100NL on PS when I got home. Ate some dinner, came back and played 1k hands at 200NL. Overall I felt I played well at 100NL but still have a few leaks at 200NL.

MARCH

Overall March was a disappointing month. Started the month very well at 200NL but then went on a nasty downswing as you can see. I ran poorly at 200NL and even though I was rolled I wasn't ready for the mental effects of the downswing. I started grinding 100NL once again and managed to get back to green numbers. Had I not played any 200NL I would have had a great month overall. Oh well, hopefully April will be much better. Stats and Graphs:
