So I havent played much of late. I have had a shit ton of work to do. I still do actually, with this the last week before dead week and then exams. Exams are going to suck pretty bad but once theyre over things will be nice. I've signed up for my classes for next semester and I lucked out. I dont have class untill 1120 on MW and 1230 on T TH F. It should be pretty badass and my classes dont seem to be too hard. I played a bunch of random HU for awhile but it was too swingy for me. I would have +$1k days and then a -800 day. Pretty sick. But for now I am sticking to 100 and 200NL. I have been 4 tabling a lot of UB 200NL which is still very soft. Theres a few regs that I try to avoid (Rahzero, omniheart, piggy_banksta lately, miko77q) but other than that its not too bad. I tend to play later at night (12am-3am ET) and the play is horrible. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things with sweat sessions with Malfaire and company. Pawel (verneer) and I talked yesterday and he said it wouldnt be a problem if I hopped in their sweat sessions which I will definitely take advantage of. I'm in class right now so I dont have the exact numbers for this month. Will update later when I get back to my room. I'm going to try and update this blog as well as my CR Blog, so check them both

Biggest Day Ever....

So after whining about running bad in my last post, I came out and tore shit up today. I played 1,000 hands of 100NL early this morning (1230-415am) and won 4 BIs. Played 1750 hands of 200NL and also won 4 BIs there. Pretty pumped up as I was kind of down after the past few days. Hopefully can keep this going. Been putting in a lot of hands on UB lately and already have about 250$ worth of Rakeback. Hopefully can end the month with about 300-350$ worth. Going to try and earn enough points this week to convert them on UB. Should be able to as I already have 415. Think I'm gonna go play some live 100nl right now....

Been running pretty shitty the past couple of days. I've been playing OK, nothing special though. I've been trying to put in as many hands at UB as possible. This is probably -EV during the day when there is little action other than regs. The regs there aren't very good but they know enough to still make it -EV. At night its completely opposite but oh well. Kind of disappointed considering I was doing so well for the month. Hopefully this week I can get it going and turn a nice profit for the month. Wow tonight was the craziest poker I've ever seen. It was fucking ridiculous. I should have won about 1600$ but only won 150$ even after losing an 800BB pot! All I can say is WOW AND WTF!...

So I headed down to Wilmington again this weekend. Was really run with lots of drinking involved. Friday night got smashed out of my mind. Saturday was a little more chill but still fun. Labor Day Weekend...another excuse to drink

This weekend was pretty fun. Saturday after class I went down to Wilmington to see a bunch of friends and my brother. Started pregaming there in the dorm then ended up at a party around the corner. When we got there my brother realized he lost his phone (funny story to come). We played some beer pong and what not but the keg was floated shortly after we got there. We were promised another in 30 mins but after 45 mins of waiting, we said fuck it and decided to walk back to the dorms. We were a little drunker than we thought and ended up taking a roundabout way which took about an hour instead of the normal 20-25 mins. We got to the dorm and decided to drink a few more beers and play some GH2 (guitar hero). I ended up passing out in my girlfriends room.

So the next morning my phone rings and its Kyle (my bro who lost his phone), but I was too delerious to put 2 and 2 together. I was like nah im not answering. Finally, the 4th time he called I picked up. The following convo ensued:

m: graham (my brothers dorm...don't know why I lied)

Saturday we went to a friends apartment and played a lot of beer pong. Personal brag story, I made the last cup behind the back to end the game. Balla...needless to say I drank way too much and stopped remembering...

Sunday and monday I chilled at Atlantic Beach with my gf and her family.

Last week Mark (Malfaire ---> ) started a weekly sweat session. I went first last week and ran into a few intersting situations. The funniest hand of the night was when I got in w/AKcc on a Qc8cx board for 200bbs and won the pot against A6o. I've played twice since then and lost a buyin both times. Can't seem to get much going but its just a little bad run. Hope to get some more hands in tonight or tomorrow.

Played about 1000 hands on UB today at 200nl. Lost 3 buyins but had some very tough hands. In all, FUCK QQ! thats all I have to say. But played some live 100NL last night and won 75$. Going again to another place around here tonight for some more 100NL.

Sorry guys, have been getting settled in and haven't had much time to post between partying and classes and what not. But I've played some since I got here but not too much. Right before I left home, my computer completely crashed and I lost everything which is pretty lame and I was quite pissed. Oh well, I started my databases over and everything but still sucks to lose all of those stats and data. Woke up this morning and had to help my dad in the yard all day. We live out in the country and just got a connection to city water but we had to run it ourselves. Unfortunately, our house is 300ft from the road, and we had to lay all the pipe ourselves. It was a long day, but it had to be done. I came in and fired up 4 tables of 200NL on UB. I played maybe 30 mins and won 500+ which was nice. I played a bunch of tournies tonight as well. I satellited into the FT 150$ tonight and was doing pretty well. I ended up getting all in pre with a 10k stack at 250/500 blinds with AKvJJ and lost. Oh well. I was also deep in the 24$ but ended up losing 99 to AA all in pre late. I cashed in the 3$ rebuy on PS for like 39$ which was lame. One hand really pissed me off at the 1500/3k blinds, I completed the small blind w/QQ and the BB pushed in for 60K and I had about 75k, I instacall, he flips A9, turn A, gg my stack. I grind it back up to 60k when I shove 22 on the button at 2.5k/5k with 60k stack. BB calls with KQ, flop J9x and I knew I was done. River T, GG me....

Overall a pretty good day, but I am pumped for tomorrow. I satellited into the PS Mill through a FPP sng and I satellited into UB's 50 Aruba Seat giveaway. As of now there is 484 people playing. Will probaly be a shade over 500, which gives me a 10% chance of going to Aruba which would be bad fucking ass. Im going to try and satellite into the UB 200k and FT 500k tomorrow as well. If not, oh well I'll just fire up some 1/2. I think I'm getting to the point where I need to start playing 1/2 instead of .5/1, but we'll see how things go...

So I finally made it home from Europe. Was definitely getting the itch to start playing again. Been playing a lot since then. Won a 500$ seat into the big 50 seat guaranteed to Aruba on UB. Planned on unregistering, but apparently they changed their policy and you cant unregister if you satelite in. Guess I gotta play it, and you never know, I could be in Aruba haha. Sorry for my lack of updates. I have been crazy busy for the past few weeks. I have played about 1k hands of poker in this timespan. I had to finish up all of my school shit and graduate. Last week I spent the week at the beach for senior beach week and was pretty drunk for a good portion of this time. I am leaving for Europe on Wednesday (finally got my passport today) and will not be back until July 20th. It will be a good break from poker and I am really looking forward to it. Once I get back I plan on putting in a ton of hands with the start of college and all. I feel like I will have a lot more free time to study the game and put the hands in. Hopefully I can work up to some higher limits and make some more money. Sorry for lack of updates. I have been extremely busy lately. I've had a lot of shit going on with school since graduation is next Saturday, been doing a lot of partyin on the weekends, and just got guitar hero 2. May has been a very good month except for one day where I dropped 5 buyins at 200nl which sucked pretty bad. Oh well, what can you do. I didn't play nearly the # of hands I wanted to due to the stuff above. I only played about 1/2 of my normal # of hands yet still managed to have my 2nd best month this year at cash games. Unfortunately, I will not be getting hardly any hands in in June and July with Senior Beach Week and my EuroTrip taking out the majority of both months...

I haven't worked in about 3 or 4 weeks because its just not worth it when I can play poker and make a lot more. My manager really needed me tonight so I figured I'd go in. I thought maybe it had changed but soon after I arrived, I realized how much I hated working there. Luckily that may have been my last time working there for awhile because of school ending, senior beach week, and my europe trip.

So I come home and feel completely grungy from slaving over a frier all night. I take a quick shower and plan to get in a quick session. I've mentioned it before (I think) but I always finish up my poker sessions by 12am when I have school the next day. For one, I do not focus as well the later it gets because fatigue sets in. Secondly, I have to set a stopping point. If not, I'd play and play until I look down and its 3 or 4 in the morning. So I got home about 10:30ish, took a quick shower and sat down to play around 11ish.

I fired up 6 tables of 100nl on PS. I started off kind of sluggish with a few cbets getting called and getting my cbet reraised on a bricked flop in a 3bet pot, which ended up being my biggest lost pot of the night. I ran really well for the hour I played and finished up 4 buyins which is sweet. I haven't played since last Thursday because I was at the lake all weekend. I had a decent day today. I was up decently at 100nl and I lost a few big pots. One my read was just way off, will post. I also played some 100nlHU. I didn't play much tonight because I'm pretty tired.

Ran for the first time today in forever. Since I dont have golf practice anymore, I have to do something outside. I ran something like 2.6 miles which I used to could do with no problem. Today I felt like an old man but I managed. Hopefully I can get back into decent shape.

Tomorrow after school, a bunch of friends and I are going to a friends lake house. We are gonna spend the weekend there and do a lot of fishing and a lot of drinking. Sorry for lack of updates. I forgot to post about how we qualified at regionals for the state tournament this monday and tuesday. We spent all of last week getting ready and I didnt have much time for poker. Saturday I had prom, which sucked pretty bad (will post pics later). Left early Sunday morning for a practice round at the state tourney. Spent the night in a hotel the last 2 nights and Im dead tired after playing today. I played some tonight. But at this point I really couldn't care less. I planned on playing tonight to try and make up some ground because I am way back after this weekend. But honestly, I am just too pumped up to play right now. Today, our golf team won the conference championship (18 holes) and won the overall conference. We were down 1 stroke coming into the day, and only shot +3 as a team (4 best scores out of 6). I played one of the rounds of my life in competition and shot a 75. It was a great round but definitely could have been better...

I started out very solid with a birdie and three straight pars. I missed a 5 footer for par on my 5th hole, but followed it up with a birdie the next hole. After my first 10 holes I was -1 and feeling great. On #13 I made an ok bogey but three putted #14 which sucked. I also three putted #16 for bogey. I ended up shooting 36 on the front side and 39 on the back. These are really great scores for me in competition. It really felt nice to peak at the end of the season. I have invested so much time, effort, and money into golf since the time I was about 12 years old.Now we go onto the regional tournament and hopefully can advance to states.

This was really special for our team as we have grown up together. Five out of the six starters are seniors and have played on the team since we were freshman. We really pulled it together today. Our #s 1 and 2(my twin bro) shot 70s (-2), I had a 75 (+3) and we had a 76, 78, and a 79. It sucks to lose this challenge this month, but at a time like this I really don't give a shit about poker. I have looked forward to this day for the last 4 years and it feels great.

At our highschool, it is a tradition to roll the front entrance if you win something big. This definitely constitues a rolling, so we did just that. We gathered $ from all the parents and friends. We ended up with $305, yes $305, from everyone. Needless to say, we went into walmart and emptied the shelves. It was insane. Ive never seen so much t.p. in my life! HAHA

I have to congratulate Malfaire, as we both ran pretty shitty but he managed to pull it off. Unfortunately I finished down in the challenge, but up overall for the month. I feel my game is definitely coming along and I making the right decisions. Now if I could just win a few hands lol. Next months gonna be a big one, I can feel it...

I will post an April Summary tomorrow when i feel like worrying about poker. But tonight I really don't give a shit about it. Theres more important things in life than poker, thats for sure!

Sorry about not posting yesterday. Was fairly tired when I got done, and did not feel like posting. I played some HU on FT for about 45 mins, ate dinner, chilled with my girlfriend, then played some on PS.

Today, we had our final conference match of the year. Now, all we have left is the 18 hole conference championship. Our team is currently 1 stroke behind the leader whom we hope to take over Monday. We were at our home course today and I really felt good coming in. The greens were really shitty but the course is ok and my swing felt great. I started with a good par, blah bogey, good par. Then came to #8 (shotgun start on 5) a short par 5. I knocked my second shot to about 20 feet and drained the putt to get to -1. I parred 9, the hardest par 3 on the course and 1. Number 2 is another par 5 but I had to lay up because of a creek short of the green. I ended up missing a 3 foot par putt to get me to E. I ended up bogeying 3, a par 3, and 3 putted #4 for a +2, 38. Its not bad, but defintely had the potential to be a lot lower.

I came home, grabbed some food and chilled for a little while. I then fired up 4 tables of FTP 100NL and started grinding. After my match today I am mentally exhausted and only managed to put in 464 hands, but turned a very nice profit.

I finally managed to break out and have a very good night. I played some 6max on PS and HU on FT. I finally got some hands paid off and didn't lose too many races. I felt like I played very good and can not remember any hands I played too badly, except for one HU (will post). Our team won our golf match today which was pretty badass. So I played some 200NL tonight because I was feeling good. It was bad, i'll explain in a sec. First I want to, since I have time tonight since I'm not playing any more poker, expain this "assassins" game I mentioned earlier. Heres how it goes. All the seniors from my high school and our crosstown rival that want to play pay 5$. A moderator takes everyone who is playing and makes a huge circle of names. He then gave each of us a card with the name of the person we were to assassinate. Once you kill your person (with a watergun), you get the person they were to kill. Basically, like I said, its a big circle and the last one standing wins. We had about 100-120 people playing so the prize pool is about 500$. 75% of this goes to the winner and 25% goes to the person with the most kills. I really want to win and get like 500$ haha. The rules are that you cant get shot at school, work, church. If someone is about to shoot you, you can get down into just your boxers (bra and panties for girls) and get immunity for 24hrs if they shoot you. You can also shoot the person that is trying to shoot you and get 24hrs immunity. So this started about 3 weeks ago and I already have 4 kills (think I may be leading).

My first kill, I had no idea who the kid was as he went to the other school. Luckily, I was at work one night and a coworker from that school said he was outside. I went outside and shot him. He had my brothers x-girlfriend. I got my brother to call her and ask her for one of her school books. We went to her house, I hid beside the door and when she came out I waxed her. The next dude I had never heard of. I asked around and found out where he lived. One day after school I went and chilled outside of his house for like 45mins but he never showed. I came back later that day, rung the doorbell, he answered, I capped him. He a friend of mine that I dont see much. I knew she worked at a local restaraunt and that she never locks her car. So tonight I parked in a nearby shopping center and walked to her car at about 8:45 (the restaraunt closes at 9). I climbed in the back seat (Jeep Wrangler) and waited. And waited. And waited. Until finally at 9:45 she comes out. She was obviously weary of someone being in the bushes as she got her boss to walk her out. She looked around in all directions and finally felt it safe to walk to her car. She opened the door, sat down, and I popped up and shot her. I was going to wait until she started home and shoot her like halfway there to scare the ever living shit out of her but i decided not to. She was kinda upset that I killed her but she gave me her person and off I went. I now have 4 kills and I think im leading in that department. Wish me luck haha. (May not be the best time to talk about "assassinating" fellow classmates after the VTech tragedy.)

As for poker today, I played for about 40 minutes. I had about an hour after dinner and before my assassination plot to kill some time. I felt I was playing well and decided to try my hand in some 200NL. WOW. Thats all I have to say. I seem to run HORRRRRRRIBLE at 200NL. Its just sick.

I wanted to play a bunch of hands tonight but had to work after our golf match today. We won the golf match though so that was pretty cool. I shot a really shitty 42 and should have been much better. After the match, I had to go to work which is very lame and retarted. I make a lot more sitting at home playing poker than working for a few hours at $6.50/hour. I was only able to get in about an hour of play. I played on UB in hopes of getting 1k UB Points for the weekly bonus upgrade but didn't quite make it and only got 28$ bonus instead of 56$. Overall I had a very good session and ran quite hot. I wish I could have played more hands and maybe I could have won as much as Malfaire, who had a ridiculous night. Congrats. Also, I am leaving for the beach tomorrow with my gf so no poker this weekend which kind of sucks. I love playing on the weekends with all of the donks. Oh well, I guess I can make it up before the end of the month!

So Malfaire decided to call me out in his blog and created a little challenge. We decided to have a little competition to improve both of our games over April. Here are the rules...

-100NL, 6max only
-Obviously must include all results, no leaving out a bad day ;-)

So I got my new monitor today (pictures below) and decided to 6 table on PokerStars tonight. Little did I know that 2 more tables meant twice as many suckouts! I seemed to lose every pot for my first 1600 hands. Luckily I made a nice comeback in the last 400 or so. Looks like I have a decent head start on Malfaire after checking his blog tonight. Although we seem to be at it, we're just online friends looking to push ourselves lol.

Sweet Turn...

As you can see, I won 5 pots over 100BB, the biggest being 360BBs. All in all, I am pleased for the night, but very bummed out that I could not take advantage of these donks moreso than I did. Obviously the KK vs AA hand where I lost a 460(!!!!)BB pot sucked pretty hard. Still a good night though, and I cant complain. On a good note, my monitor should be here tomorrow. Ok so after I got home from the beach today I was really fired up to play some poker. I want to play on UB to earn as much rakeback as possible but I also want to reach 28,000 FPPs on PS for that 20" monitor. I'm getting very close with 22,173 points. Overall March was a disappointing month. Started the month very well at 200NL but then went on a nasty downswing as you can see. I ran poorly at 200NL and even though I was rolled I wasn't ready for the mental effects of the downswing. I started grinding 100NL once again and managed to get back to green numbers. Spring Break

I had a post typed out the other night explaining all of this but ofcourse I hit publish and an error occured, hit back and nothings there...very gay...

But Im on spring break right now. Starting out in Wilmington for now. Staying at my brothers place from Friday until Tuesday. Tuesday Im headin down to Myrtle Beach and staying at my gfs place..

Woke up at 430 this morning and went out on the family boat. Went out about 40 miles to the Gulf Stream. Still too cold for much trolling so we bottom fished all day. Saw a wide variety of fish. Caught mostly pink snappers and grunts. Pulled in 2 gag groupers that were too short to keep and 2 red groupers that were keepers. A friend reeled in a 6 foot moray eel that was pretty cool to see. Caught a few sharks and an amberjack as well.

As for March, I think I ended up about $250 but Im not sure of exact numbers. I am on my brothers laptop and do not have access to my PT or Excel stats. I hope to jump into some 1/2 when I get home next Friday or Saturday. Really want to earn enough FPPs on PS to order the 20" monitor. I should be able to do it quite easily 2-4 tabling 1/2.

Weekend Update...

Was a good weekend overall. Friday night, I came home from school and played some poker. Then went to a friends house to watch the games on his projector in HD. Pretty badass. Came home with my gf to watch the Carolina game at my house. We ended up falling asleep after the game. Saturday I woke up and play some poker. Then went to the park and chilled w/ bunch of friends. The 70-80 degree weather was fucking perfect. Actually got kinda burnt out there with no shirt on. Came home and play some more poker. Ended up meeting at a friends house and getting pretty drunk before we went to a club. Stayed there until about 3, went and ate some steak and shake. Ended up back at a friends place. Today I went and played a practice round for my match tomorrow at a really nice private course. Was playing pretty easy and I'm looking forward to tomorrow. My goal is to break 40, so 39 or better. Blah...Friday I only played a few hands and just ran into several gay hands so i just quit so I didn't tilt. I ended up goin to a friends apartment that night with the intentions of getting drunk...when we got there they had less beer than expected so I just chilled and watched some basketball games...ended up watching the Lakers game with Kobe dominating until about 1:30 then i came home. Played some HU on FT when i got home and ended up about 2 buyins there. The HU there is really soft and i wouldnt mind playing it more often.

Saturday was a pretty good day and I logged a bunch of hands on UB. There was an unusual amount of donks playing for UB which is usually stacked with regulars. I love playing on UB because of the rakeback. I wish my RB would work for full tilt but its gay and doesnt. Once i get my laptop for college i will probably make a new account and get rakeback on there. I celebrated St. Pattys day in style on saturday night and well into sunday morning. Hung out with my girlfriend for awhile then went to the same apartment as friday night. Took a few shots of brunnettes razz when i got there then just drank some sprite/brunnettes mixed. Played a lot of beer pong with this mix and ended up playing pretty good...went to bed abuot 4:30 and got up at about 9...

Went to Dicks (sporting goods) with a few friends from the golf team that were at the party when we woke up. Bought some new golf shoes and a glove. We then went to Waffle House and chowed down at about 11. Our waitress was fucking retarted. My brother got a waffle and a hashbrown which shoulda been like 4$ but on the ticket it said 2.45+1.40=$2.35. Dont know how the hell she managed to get less than just the waffle but whatever, guess thats why shes working at waffle house dumb bitch (she was slow and didnt bring my friend his waffle till we were leaving haha)...so i came home and didnt feel tired.

For some stupid reason i brought up 2 tables of 200NL on UB. As usual the tables were quite fishy but i could not hit a fucking hand to save my life. I then proceeded to get my KK cracked twice for a fullbuyin each time by the same donk. He was like 35/10 over 100+ hands. One time He flops 2 pr w/KQ and the other time he flops a set on a Q84 flop with 44. My luck just seems to absolutely suck at 200nl. Its so frustrating to sit a table full of donks and miss every AK preflop, every draw, QQ getting minraised on Kxx flops. Just sick...I then semi tilted and played some 100NLHU on FT. I lost 2 buyins there, but one to a big missed draw (second pair+fd vs TPshitK) and one i got sucked out on for 1/2 a buyin. I played some more tonight and got back to even at the HU tables for the day...Tonight I also played some 100NL on PS and played ok. Didnt get much action on my big hands but still turned a slight profit...good thing or the day woulda been even worse lol...

Overall ive put myself back in the pitts this weekend. Gotta grind it out the rest of the month in hopes of breaking even...I can easily do it just gotta stick to 100NL and play smart, not when Im tired/hungover and angry (after a poor day at the golf course).

I reached GoldStar status on PS today and now have 16,500FPPs. Since I reached GoldStar, i will get twice as many points and should be able to build up quickly. I think I'm going to use them on the Samsung 20" LCD monitor which is only 28,000FPPs. I should be able to get that within a month or so...would be pretty sweet. I would save up for the 24" but its 40k more FPPs which would take awhile. I guess the FPPs are a sort of rakeback in a way. They do have some pretty sweet accessories and shit that aren't even too hard to get. Here's a pic of the monitor that costs 28k which i plan on getting...

I haven't played too much in the past 2 days. Yesterday I planned on playing a decent session, but for some reason my PAHUD was not showing stats and im obviously addicted to having stats. When i first sat down, I went to look for 4 100NL tables but there was no good tables on PS, UB, or FT. I ended up sitting at 2 200NL tables for about 15 mins on FT and won about 1/2 a buyin. Once i realized PAHUD wasn't going to work I tried PS and UB. I played 4 100nl tables on both sites for about 15 mins each. I could not get PAHUD to work but still gained a decent profit.

Tonight I played for about 45 minutes after work. I do not play after midnight (my game suffers from fatigue that late on weeknights) and i didn't get home from work until around 10:45ish. I played 4 tables of 100NL on PS for the 45mins and netted a pretty good profit for the small amount of hands I played. Hopefully i can keep up the numbers and climb back to even and then some.

Ok, so first off some life stuff...my golf team had our first match of the year on thursday against our cross town rivals. They are horrible usually and we don't play them much as we are 4a and they are 3a. I come into the match feeling really good....

Hole #1: Perfect tee shot down the center of a short par 4. Nerves kill me and i blade a sw over the green ob, drop another ball, knock it to 10ft and 2 putt for double bogey. +2

#2: Perfect 4iron off the tee on this dogleg par 5. Perfect 3 wood on my second shot but hits the cart path and leaves me shortsided but pin high. I leave my pitch short of the green, despite the fact that i hit it exactly how i wanted. Chip gets bad kick, 2 putt for bogey. +3

#3: Perfect 7 iron to 10 feet. Drain putt for birdie. +2

#4: Big dogleg right, i decide to get cute and cut the corner. End up in the woods, punch hits a branch and falls down. Next shot goes up in the air and hits an overhanging branch around the green, goes into the edge of the woods but i cant find it so have to rehit. Hit the same exact fucking branch but this time it falls straight down. Pitch up to about 15 feet, 2 putt for 8! +6

#5: Perfect 4 iron off tee, wedge to center of green, 2 putt par. +6

#6: Chunk the shit out of GW off tee. Wedge just off back, 2 putt for bogey. +7

#7: Perfect 4 iron off tee, knock down 9 to about 20 feet, 2 putt par. +7

#8: Perfect driver off tee, wedge to about 10 feet, 2 putt par. +7

#9: Driver wayyy right into 8 fway, 9 iron to right of green, chip up, make putt +7.

42! Thats horrible at this course. The only holes that killed me were 1 and 4.

Ok so now to poker. Shit just hasnt been dropping my way. I got a friend to rail me for awhile on FT last night and he can attest to my bad luck. Every possbile bad situation comes up and i end up on the losing end. Calling stations catching hands....etc...its kinda bad. I played some today and managed to finish up 2 buyins but just pissed that all back on UB. Most of it when i flopped a set, and get all in on the turn when he turns an over set. That hand puts me at even....very frustrating...

So overall yesterday, i finished down about 300$. And then I log onto UB tonight. Within 10 hands I drop a buyin. Then, within a few more, i drop another buyin. Both on ridiculous beats (will post). So far, March has been going pretty good. The first day I mixed some 200NL on both PS and UB. I was up about 4 buyins quickly on PS but ended up only about 2.5BI there. I then played some UB and dropped a little over a buyin there. On the 2nd, I played a little over 1k hands of PS 200NL. Finished up a little less than a buyin there. This morning, a little hungover, I played about 900 hands 5 tabling 100NL on UB. I ended up 3 buyins there...

When i got home from golf practice today, UB was down for some reason. I really felt like playing some 200nl but UB was down so opened up 3 tables of 200nl on FT. I played 650 hands and was +120$. UB then started working so opened up 3 tables there. I played 500 hands there at +340$. Overall, I felt i played very well for my first time playing more than 2 tables of 200NL.

February was a very good month overall. I played almost soley cash games and managed to log 29k hands, which is a little over 1k/day which isnt bad. I took several days off and only played a limited amount other days. I feel like i could easily play 40k hands in March. 26k of the hands were at 100NL where I had a winrate of 4.9bb/100, which is pretty good overall. I also earned about 550$ (Not including tonight session) of RB which i will be cashing out to save. Here is a pic of my stats since Feb 1.......

Sorry for lack of updates. Was at my brother's house in Wilmington all this weekend. Didn't get much playing time there. Played about 1k hands last night. Had a bunch of tough situations and the session came down to one hand at the end. Guy sucked out for full buyin. Woulda put me at even, instead finished down 2 buyins. I was kinda pissed about that because I havent had too many losing sessions at 100nl this month. So i think i broke my toe today. At the very least its a massively bruised toe. A friend and I were moving a bench we sit on every morning at school when all of a sudden he dropped it. It landed straight on my big right toe and i instantly thought it was broken. Kind of sucks as we had our second day of golf practice (started last week but crappy weather cancelled all but mondays practices). I tried to play but it was almost impossible to follow through. I played alright considering, and actually made 2 pars in 6 holes. Not too bad considering i could barely walk and it was cold as shit once the sun started setting. Will post pics tomorrow of my toe. Its very big and completely black and blue. Hopefully it still looks as bad tomorrow for a picture haha...

Played some on UB when i got home from practice. Logged close to 1500 hands at 100NL. Was very up and down. Played 2 sessions and finished up 1 buy in in the first one. I got all in pre wtih QQ against a maniac only to have him flip KK. Could have been a +3 BI session. Second session was crazy from the start. 2 tables i couldnt miss, and 2 tables i couldnt hit. I played for about 2 hours and finished up $1.80 in the second session. Better than losing, and with RB its more.

Things have been going quite well lately. Been playing mostly on UB but did get in about 1k hands on FTP this morning for 1.5 buyins. I havent played much this weekend but last week i really pounded it, trying to get 2000 UBpoints and getting $.075 per point instead of the usual $.05. I was able to succeed and converted my points for $160.18. This is a very nice promo (even though its been going on since Dec. I believe) and really makes me want to play there. Its a guaranteed 75$/week if you only get 1500 pts. With 2000pts/week, you are guaranteed 150$/week and 600$/month. This is very sweet and I'm def cashing all of my bonuses out. Since my last post, I have logged 10k hands, with about 9200 of them at 100nl and the other 800 at 200nl. I took a few shots on UB at 200NL and i seriously can not catch a break. I seem to run into cooler after cooler (KK vs AA obv.) and havent hit a draw. For the week I was up $830 at 100nl and down 821$ at 200nl(ugh). I broke even for the week, but really am disppointed about my 200nl stats. I played well too which is even more frustrating.

Didn't do much this weekend. Friday I just went to my GFs house and hung out with her all night. Came home around 330 and passed out hard. Woke up around 11 on sat, tried to play but was still very tired and played poorly. Then i went to the Wake Forest v. Miami game. Wake won, but tried to piss it away at the end. Last night I went to a friends house and did some partying, got a little drunk. Think I might go play some golf this afternoon, since my senior year of golf started last week. We are very pumped up about the season and have 5 retunrning seniors. Hopefully we can go pretty deep, will let post results and what not from the season. Alright Im gonna go eat some lunch. So i have been running crazy hot since the beginning of February...I have only been playing 100nl on UB (building up UB points to convert and 30%RB=very nice side profit)...yesterday i played about 1600 hands and finished up about 2.5 buyins...I played some very early this morning (1am-230am) and managed to get in about 600 hands with a profit of a little over 1.5 buyins....I played 1000 hands when i woke up this morning and won exactly 3 buyins ($300.90)...

I didn't play on Sunday because i was pretty hungover from the night before and didn't really feel like tilting away any money which was good...just watched the superbowl (LAME!) with some friends...today i came home after school and got about 1k hands in winning about 280$, took a break and got dinner and went to YoungLife...came home and played about 1k more hands and won 255$...i should have been up about 175$ more but i accidentally timed out of a hand with the 4th nuts (will post HH)...it was very shitty but oh well...i have set a goal to not play after midnight on nights when i have school in the morning because i feel like my quality of play drops tremendously after midnight...obv i will go late into the nights on weekends....i set up my DVDr the other day to start recording Poker After Dark everynight so im gonna start watching that if it worked last night...

So I've decided that i'm going to concentrate most of my play on UB simply because of the RakeBack and the UltimatePoints bonus they have...I can easily obtain enough points within the week to get $50+ from this promotion wish is very sweet...also i get 30% Rakeback which is sweet...not including todays sessions, i have about 150$ sitting in rakeback and i think i get that on the 15th of each month...i think i'm going to start withdrawing all of the money i make from rakeback and keeping it for myself...the only problem with playing strictly UB is the fact that there is lots of regulars but most play abc poker and if I can avoid playing big pots with them I should do alright...I really want to get some $ on FTP because they offer rakeback as well...btw, if anyone would be willing to trade PS$ for FTP$ let me know, as i would like to do about 2k in transfers...but overall i've played 3k hands this month and im up 4 buyins on UB, down about 1/2 buyin on PS and i played some 50nl HU on ub in which im up about 2/3 of a buyin...overall im pleased with my start of the month and i hope i can keep it up for a big month...

Overall was a very successful month...I started the month with $2770.24 in my UB account and $443.21 in my PS account. On UB I won a feed for a 100+9 ticket and used those TD's towards other tournies. I also finished 6th in a 20$ tourney for 132$. On PS I won the 3$r early on for 4416$, and also won a seat to the Sunday Million via DS. I played in the SM and came very close to the money but did not cash. I played a bunch of other tournies on both sites with little results. This is where the majority of the money i lost this month was, MTTs.

SNG wise, i didnt play too many. I was down about 100$ in SNGs on PS and up about 50$ on UB. I spent the majority of my time playing cash games this month. I came into the month playing 50nl only on UB (way over rolled) and no cash games on Stars. Now i am 4 tabling both but have been on a horrible run of late. I still finished up on the month about 250$ in cash games across both sites. I did take a few shots at 200nl (I have the roll but want to beat 100nl first) and dropped 300$ there over 1k hands. I managed to play 29,800 hands overall this month and I am very pleased with this. Although my results struggled due to the negative end of variance, i hope to come back strong next month. Overall I am very pleased with my start to 2007 and I am well on my way to my goal of 25,000.

The last week has been absolutely horrible. I could be on the losing end of every hand i play no matter what. The suckouts have been horrendous and the coolers are out of control. I have dropped a good amount on both PS and UB but hopefully its just variance...i played a short session of 100nl on PS after workouts today and did alright, finishing up about 1.5 buyins. I played another session tonight and dropped about 1/2 a buyin on a gay hand (will post)...

I played a bunch of tournies and got donked out of most of them tonight. I started with the 1$ turbo on UB. Had a top 20 stack with 90 left (70 paid) and a shorty goes all in for like 3xbb and the other bigstack at my table just calls. I reraise all in with ATo from the BB. He thinks forever and calls with AK haha, oh well...I also played the 20$ 2500grntd on UB. I doubled very early when i turned a flush against AA. I picked up some pots here and there and quickly we were down to about 26 players when an interesting hand came up...

I was gone over the weekend and didnt play much but i dropped 2.5 buyins right before i left. I also dropped 2.5 buyins last night on stars and was really running horrible...today i only had a half day of school due to exams and decided to play some tournies and cash mixed. I opened up 4 $100nl to start and played there for about an hour and a half. I ran alright and worked up about a buyin. I then decided to play in the 20HU tourney on stars and got a bye the first round and played an awful guy in the second round. He ended up calling out one of my few bluffs on a KQJTx board with K5...i played a 20$ hu on ub and won that...i then played a 20$ turbo 10 seat SNG on ub and ended up getting donked of that in 3rd...around 330 a friend asked if i wanted to throw a 5$ LL bet on the ub 2k gntd 20$ at 3:30 so i signed up...i played very tight and had about 3k at the 75/150 level and from there ran very well...i ended up coming to the FT with the CL and soon after had 2:1 over anyone else with about 8 left...i lost a few big hands and was back down around everyone else when this hand came up:

I played 2 sessions of 100nl on PS last night...ended up winning in both but only made a small profit in the first...to begin my first session i ran horrible...within 30 mins i was stuck about a buyin but was able to finish with 2 big hands before dinner for a small profit...the 2nd session went well and i should have been up even more barring a few suckouts...i also played a guy 3 times for a 20$ hu sng...the first one i beat him in about 15 mins, the second one i got all in with an opsfd against a made baby flush and lost, and the third one he sucked out on (AQ vs T7 on AT8 board all in)....

Up and down...poker's a rollercoaster

So the past week has really been a rollercoaster for me playing poker. Ill drop 4 buyins, win 5, drop 3, win a few, and basically stay about even. I played the Sunday Millions on PS this sunday for my first time after winning a DS into it ($11.70)...I didnt win a hand for the first hour and was down to about 6k but two double ups put me right back up there...i finally built a 2xavg stack but slowly dwindled...with about 1250 left (1080 paid) i had about 11XBB...i was dealt AJo in the BB and it folded to the SB who raised 3x and i came OTT all in...he calls with 10's and i blank out, about 125ish away from the $....would have been nice but no regrets on my play really...

The guy who won did sit to my left and i did make one play i look back on now....A crappy donk min raises to 4800 in the CO, i smooth call in the SB with 77...the massive stack in the BB (went on to win the tourney) raised to 16k and the OR folded...i had about 65k and felt like i had just enough to make him fold a hand, but wasnt quite sure bc he seemed like a good player and was fairly quiet...i folded and he said he had AQ but who knows....

I played some yesterday and started off horribly in the morning on UB...I dropped 240$. I came back on stars and was up 435$ there in my first session but came back and dropped 215$. On the day i lost 28$ but i had several ridiculous hands...

I play with this guy a lot and he's very capable of floating a flop like this as he knows i like to raise and cbet with strong aces. On the flop i flopped an oesd and a bdfd and make a standard Cbet. On the turn i thought about checking but i picked up my flush draw, and i felt like if i checked he would definitely bet any 2 and i would have no FE, so i lead again. Once he comes ott i know he's got 2pr or better but im getting ridiculous odds. I just called expecting him to flip JT or 33, but instead he flips 97o and called all the way down...brilliant!

Didn't do much on and UB tournies but i did win a double shootout on stars to get into the 1mil sunday....not sure if i'm going to play it yet, depends on what my schedule looks like....played some this morning...donked out of several tournies and lost one to a flopped 1 outer (AA vs QQ vs Q8)...also played 4 tables of 100nl on ub this morning...wow people suck...

I played a 20$HU and a 5$Turbo Sng before work and won both. I wasn't going to play any last night after work but i was feeling very awake and ready to play when i got home...i decided to 2 table 200nl on PS...early on there wasnt much action and i won a few hands by bluffing and finally got going towards the end of the session...

Standard raise with A9s 4 handed. Flop the flush draw and back door straight draw so i Cbet as usual. Poket had just sat down and called. The turn brought the jack giving me an OESD and NFD. He checked, and i once again bet at it. He pretty much min raised me which is usually a strong hand C/minR the turn...i knew i had atleast 9 hearts, 3 Q's, and 3 7's for 15 outs, and i thought the A might also be live for 3 more outs. There's no way im folding to the raise and he only had 44$ behind. With atleast 15 outs and maybe 18, i was going to the felt with this hand. I hit, gg him. He berated me for atleast 10 mins after for how stupid i was haha...gotta love that..

Didn't do much yesterday...After school i went to my girlfriends and hung out with her for awhile...went and got some dinner and came home about 10...had to do an entire project for my world geography class when i got home but i was done at about 11....I then played a 45 minute session of 100nl on PS...played well i thought and won a buy-in...Not really any interesting hands just basic poker...

Tonight i have to work which is very bad...i hate work....i work at a local Chick-Fil-A (kind of "high class" fast food) as a cook...i work for about 5.5 hours making $6.50 an hour...i really hate working when i know i could be sitting at home playing poker and making a lot more money...my mom makes me do it though because i need to for a future resume and "to learn responsibility." Oh well. Many people think im a slacker at work bc i have no motivation....a lot of people think im a slacker in general but actually im not...Im 9th in my senior class of 462 and have only made 1 B in high school...f the haters..

So i signed up for PokerXFactor yesterday. Not because i don't like CR, CR is still my main training site but i wanted to broaden my horizons and would love to be a big name MTT player. But for now i'm sticking to cash games. I've watched two series, the first was a Stars Sunday by JohnnyBax and the other was a 500$ SNG by Sheets...these videos seem very informative and helpful...i played two sessions last night. The first was about 2 hours and the second was about an hour. I played well overall i thought and ended up winning $295.75. I played 1,264 hands at 20.5/16 with a BB/100 of 11.58. I wish all my sessions could be this productive!

This was one of the first few hands for this player at the table. When he lead out for some reason i felt he was strong but didn't know how strong. I felt like he might have QJ, KJs, 910s, or some other kind of draw. I really didn't feel like he had J10 when he pushed over the top...even if he did i would have 7 outs on the turn and 10 on the river if i missed so i went for it....he flips J10 gg me...

I've ran really poorly the past few days on stars. I have played 2,185 hands of 100$NL at 21.51/16.98 and lost 623.65$. I feel like i've been playing well but i haven't seen the results. Obviously a little variance and no biggie. I had to cut my sessions short the past 2 nights because i really felt signs of TILT coming on and i started playing really poorly. Tonight i hope to get in some 100NL on PS and try and get these stats back up!

Ok i posted this hand on CR's and have gotten mixed reviews. Several people think that the Ah will fold and im only getting called by 88, but i disagree. At these stakes people look at their cards and say "Ive got the nut flush! He doesnt have a FH" and thats if their even smart enough to realize the FH potential. I really feel like the Ah and possibly the Kh are paying me off here. Ofcourse the other bigstack calls with 88. I honestly don't know what he was planning on doing here with 88? I really didnt see this one coming but oh well...2 buyins gone!

Ok so i pick up AK in the sb and make a standard raise. The player in the BB hadn't got too outta hand and i'd been playing fairly aggro. I felt like the RR because he had not RR anyone the entire session. I elect to call and see a flop. Even though i didn't hit the flop its a very good one, so i check with the intentions of C/R fairly large. I check and he way overpushes. At first glance i was going to fold the hand but i felt like i had 15 solid outs. I was right and was a 55% favorite on the flop, but failed to hit....doh!

I had a note on the guy that said he couldn't fold an overpair so i decided to set mine. This was a perfect flop minus the flush draw. I raised in order to get the 3 players behind out if they were on a FD. When he RR i know he has an overpair and happily throw the rest of my $ in. Sweet 2 outer.....hell yea

In the beginning...

Im just starting this blog and I'm going to try and update it on a regular basis...i want to describe my life as a high school senior and poker player....first let me describe myself...

My name is Kirk and i live in North Carolina. I just turned 18 in December and was finllay legal to play poker as i pleased. I have been playing poker for about a year and a half (only 1 month legally) and have had decent results. I started with 25$ on UB and played 5$ sngs. As you might have guessed i was busto within a month and rebought for another 25$. Im not exactly sure how i got up but somehow i got up to around 100$ and saw an advertisement for a freeroll to get into the UB SCNII( Stone Cold Nuts 2). I was determined to get in this freeroll by obtaining enough UB points so i would 2 table 50$NL on UB with my entire roll. Fortunately i earned enough points before i went broke and was qualified for the freeroll.
The tournament started with 1200+ players and only top 10 got seats, the rest went home empty. About 6 hours later the tourney finally ended and i had my 500$ seat into the tourney (this was before UB had TD's and i was forced to play, otherwise i probably would have unregistered). The big day finally arrived and it was time to play. Hour after hour went bye as i got deeper and deeper into the tourney. All of my friends were railing and saying stupid stuff in the chat because they were all jealous of my success (not to sound cocky), but they later admited that they were rooting against me. Finally around 1am, i got donked out in 32nd place for 3400$. (HH- guy min raises in the hijack, i RR 3x with JJ, he calls. Flop comes 953. Villain checks, i raise 3/4pot, he RR all-in, i call. He flips A8 and ofcourse rivers the A. If i wont that hand i would have been top 5 in the tourney even though i was a donk back then and didnt really know what was going on).
Two days before this big tourney my car had died on the way back from a ski trip with some friends. My parents forced me to cash out some of the money to pay towards a new car so i cashed all but 1k$, and proceeded to buy a 1990 BMW 525i (pictures to come). About two months later in april i think, I entered the old 30$ 2am tourney on UB. I proceeded to come in second in this tourney for around 800$. The next night in the exact same tourney i went on to win for another $1200. I cashed out about $800 of this and transferred a lot to friends. I donked a lot of this money off in MTTs and Cash games but then i saw an offer on P5's from some poker company offering 50$ to get started on PP and with success, future backing opportunities. I took the guy up on the opportunity and started with the 50$ on PP. Within 3 months, i worked the 50$ into 3k just playing cash games. Unfortunately, PP closed and i had to cash all of it out (under 18 at the time so no way to transfer to another site), so i was left with about 1500 on UB. I transferred 300$ to a friend on UB and he sent me 300 on PS. I played some sngs and mtts there with breakeven success for about a month. Then i got 5th in a 5$ MTT for about 500$, and had about 700$ on PS.
I proceeded to donk most of that money off back to my original roll of 300$ but was having great success on UB. I had started playing 50NL and worked my roll up to about 1.5k. Within the last month my results have exploded. I won a 15$ tournament on UB for 530$ and got second in the 6$ bounty tourney for 651$. I then had the roll to play 100nl which i've been experimenting with of late. January 4th, i decided to play some tournies on UB and Stars. With my small roll on stars i decided just to play in the 3$r and some other tournies on UB up to 20$. I busted out of all the UB tournies early but built a healthy stack in the 3$r after the rebuy period (about 25k). 8 hours later i chopped the tourney 4 handed for 4416$(i was in first).
I have recently started 4 tabling 100$NL on PS with great success. (i tilted off some $ last night after running into a few coolers though). I have found PS much softer than UB, with more tables and less regulars.
Well thats my background and where I am now...will post more later. On break between morning and afternoon classes at high school lol
